Varaha Avatar of Lord Vishnu

Varaha Avatar, the third avatar amongst the 10 Dashavatara of Lord Vishnu, is in the shape of a Boar. The Lord seemed as a boar toward defeat Hiranyaksha, an expert, who had taken the Earth plus carried it toward the bottommost of the cosmic sea. The avatar of Varahaindicates the renovation of the World from a pralaya (deluge) plus the creation of a new Kalpa (cosmic series). There are many temples devoted to the Varaha Avatar of Lord Vishnu. Not as Vishnu’s avatar, and also in somewhat vague terms, Varaha features first in the Rig-Veda, however, it is in far along Vedic literature that the legend begins achievement some form.
